WALKS IN CORDILLERA BLANCA

This is one of the most unforgettable experience in Cordillera Blanca to be an expedition that is carried out on base of the most important mountains of the Andean zone, the beautiful picks can be enjoyed in the middle of contact with the nature, going by geographical difficulties by 4786 of meters high from where it is possible to appreciate the mountains with better climate in the world located inside the Huascarán National Park.

Itinerary

DAY 1:

Pick up from airport and transfer to the hotel in Lima.

DAY 02 :

Departure from Lima to Huaraz at 13:00 hours, arrival to Huaraz at the 21:00 hours, transfer to the Hotel.

DAY 03 : HUARAZ - CARAZ - CASHAPAMPA -LLAMACORRAL

05:30 pick up from the hotel, transport in taxi to Caraz, breakfast, transport from Caraz to the Cashapampa town, Contact with our muleteers, beginning of the walk; journey of 6 at 7 hours; entrance to the National Park Huascarán, view of the flora, appreciation of the area, lunch in one of the places of the gulch. Camping in LLAMACORRAL.

DAY 04 : LLAMACORRAL - Quebrada ARHUAYCOCHA - TAULLIPAMPA

6:30 breakfast, 8:00 walk beginning. Approximately 6 to 7 hours of walk. In the itinerary we find with the ICHIC COCHA lagoons, special habitat of birds and aquatic flora; Atún Cocha that means big lagoon, and the view of the snowy CARAZ, PUMAPAMPA, until arriving to the QUISWAR forest. they will give us shade while we take the lunch, and to get ready to go up to the gulch ARHUAYCOCHA where is locates the base field to the ALPAMAYO the most beautiful snowy of the world that remains surrounded of mountains that overcome the 6000 asl, as QUITARRAJU, JANCARRURISH, ARTESONRAJU, NEVADO AGUJA, PIRÁMIDE GRACILAZO. Continuing the walk will arrive at the ARHUAYCOCHA lagoon under the picks of the JANCARURISH that it remains as dripping small pieces of ice. Of return we will cross to the second camp TAULLIPAMPA, where we will spend the night under the look of the imposing TAULLIRAJU that waits for us to see closer the following day from the walk PUNTA UNIÓN at 4785 asl.

DAY 05 : TAULLIPAMPA - PASO PUNTA UNIÒN - CACHINA

6:30 breakfast, 8:00 walk beginning. Approximately 6 at 7 hours of walk, This day we ascend until the walk of PUNTA UNIÓN (4785 ASL), from where we have splendid view from the circuit; the gulches of Santa Cruz and Huaripampa are splendid observed, describiéndo from where we come and for where we will walk . equally the snowy ones previous every time closer and but impressive, this it is the condor vision that in occasions it usually flies on our heads toward the heights. Once remained some instants in the height begin again to lower for the Huaripampa gulch observing their enormous ones metamorphic formations, the different flora and the Chacraraju snowy. We take the lunch under the snowy of the same name. And finally we continue until the third camp CACHINA, from where you continues having view of the impressive TAULLIRAJU.

DAY 06 : CACHINA - VAQUERIA - PORTACHUELO - LLANGANUCO - YUNGAY - HUARAZ
7:00 breakfast. 8:30 walk beginning. Approximately 3 hours of walk. This day we will leave the Huascarán Park National and we will go in to the HURIPAMPA town of, where the home of the residents will be observed and we will serve ourselves the typical PACHAMANCA, cook in the PACHAMANCA, in the earth, sharing together with the residents a unforgettable moments, to the they are of the harp. We leave the zone to the next point, PORTACHUELO, from where they will observe the most important mountains of Cordillera Blanca: HUASCARÀN (6789 asl, this is the highest pick of Peru), the four picks of the HUANDOY, the king of Cordillera Blanca; CHOPICALQUI, CHACRARAJU, PISCO and the beautiful LLANGANUCO lagoons, from different views; return to Huaraz city going by Yungay and the covered city for the rain in 1970.

DAY 07 : BACK TO LIMA.
