CHOQUEQUIRAW PROGRAM

4 DAYS / 3 NIGTHS


Day 1:

Departure from Cusco early in the morning in private towards San Pedro de Cachora town at 2,850 m.a.s.l. approximate arrival time four hours once we will arrive to Chochora we will enjoy a delicious lunch.
After a short rest we will start a five hours trekking towards Chikisca at 1,950 m .a.s.l. Place where we will spend our first night in camp.

Day 2:

Wake up early, in order to take a good breakfast, subsequently we will continue our trip, descending till Apurimac river beach, where after a rest and lunch we will continue our trekking to finally in the afternoon arrive to Choquequiraro Complex at 3,033 m .a.s.l.
Visit to the archaeological remains between the terraces and the main square, where we begin our visit to buildings located in this wonderful Inca city, catalogued by the scientist contemporary with Machupicchu. We find constructions with peculiar details in this area. Overnight in camp.

Day 3:

After breakfast we will start an expedition around the area, lets us see how the upper parts of these constructions look likewhat . It also gives us a better idea of the size of the buildings and how they remained hidden in the middle of dense vegetation. After exploring the reconstructed archaeological remains (and debating the function of others) we descend to our camp in Chikisca.

Day 4:

This day we start our trip back to San Pedro de Cachora where the private wait for us to take us back to Cusco arriving at night.
