Golden Palace Casino Lung Fung
The casino is the operative part of the group Lung Fung, it is adjacent to the restaurant. The casino was opened approximately five years ago, and it provides slot machine as casino tables, besides appetizers and drinks. The restaurant specializes in Chinese cuisine; it is open from Monday to Friday: 12:00 to 15:30 and 19:00 to 23:00. In weekend is open from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 19:00 to 02:00. The casino has private parking. Casino schedule: Monday to Sunday from 18:00 to 06:00 and slot machine from Monday to Sunday during the whole day.

The Dragon
In the popular beach area of Barranco, El Dragón is a good place to dance and to take a drink. In the area you can walk in the old Central Park of Barranco besides in the surroundings of the traditional Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of the Sighs). You have to taste some typical sandwiches as being the intense anticucho or the dulce picaron.

Bauhaus Postmodern Club
This Miraflores nightspot is known for playing bands of the 80s such as the Smiths and Depeche Mode. Lately, the music selection has diversified to include Hispanic rock, bands like Radiohead, and cutting edge European electronic music is also played. The bar is well-stocked, there is ample space on the dance floor, and a giant screen flashes videos of all sorts. Discounts for members. Check Web site or call ahead for programming.

La Noche
Initially a Bohemian drinking hole, this bar slowly has become a dynamic gathering place with lovely decor and a cosmopolitan ambiance. Nearly every night brings a live music performance, with rock music and jazz sounds predominating. The bar also hosts occasional film and video presentations, book readings, and art and photography exhibits. A small cover fee is charged when live music is scheduled. Performances usually start around 10p, but call ahead or check the Web site to confirm programming.

Haití
The two-level, spacious cafe has an outside terrace overlooking one of the busiest streets in the Miraflores area. It maintains the quality and cordial service of yesteryear and has remained a popular cafe in the neighborhood. Highbrow Peruvians and foreigners can be found here mingling in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Local and international dishes, desserts, cold drinks and cocktails are on the menu. It´s a good place for a sandwich lunch or to order a cup of coffee and watch the world pass by.

Peruvian jazz in Lima
In this year concluded with success the XVI JAZZ FESTIVAL IN LIMA; carried out of the 2 to 8 of April, nevertheless for those that desire to participate of this festival in their following version, they should know that two categories exist: Professional: To participate in this category the following documentation should be sent to the sworn calificador: Recent professional recording (CD) of at least 4 pieces, promotional photo, an abstract one of not more than 100 words on the artist or group, educational proposal: Description of not more than 300 words of its proposal to carry out a class teacher inside the framework of the Festival besides its artistic performance and material of support: journalistic cuts, biographies, press releases and videos. Students: To participate in this category the following documentation should be sent to the sworn calificador: Recent recording (CD) of at least 3 pieces, promotional photo, an abstract one of not more than 100 words on the artist or group of students. Even themselves not the assembly has been launched for the 2007; nevertheless, if the regulation is it applied al festival of this year, all the proposals should be envoys before November 15, 2006 to:

Municipal theater
It inaugurated in 1920, with the name of Forero Theater, subsequently the city Hall of Lima acquires it and after repair it, itself re inaugurates as Municipal Theater.
